The only way to ensure a good mounting is to do some research of manufactures of TV wall mounts this will help you determine which mount is correct for your TV . Knowing the weight and the positioning on the wall will help you make the decision of which mount is correct for your application .Basically there are three different types of wall mounts weather you want a very flush looking mounts to match your new ultra Slim TV or are you looking for a mount that allow you to swivel TV a different direction for viewing this type of mount is called an Articulating mount their a few different types of these mounts if you’re mounting the television that is larger than 32 inches we recommend you use Dual-Arm Articulating mount. Last but not least which is probably the most popular mount which is a straight mount which allows you to tilt the TV down from 5 to 15% depending on mount. There’s something here to consider which a lot of our customers don’t take into consideration until after the installation is done you must realize with tilting mounts or Articulating mount are not as flush against the wall this is due to the mechanism which allows the tilt or in the case of a Articulating allows the full motion of the mount.
Here are some of the manufacturers that we recommend such as Cheetah, Peerless Industries and Sanus Systems and also Omnimount which offer aftermarket mounts with various weight ratings that cost from $20 to $1000 and can be adjusted to fit most TVs. There’s something here to remember the old saying get what you pay for. To look at these mounts you may say to yourself why is one so much more expensive than the other simply put it all in the design. We have used customers mounts to install their TVs I would say most likely several hundred different types there have been a few we recommended to the customer not to use due too skimpy poor design.
